How to Set Up a Roblox Gamepass for Payouts

Most people who get stuck earning Robux are not stuck on the earning. They are stuck on the payout. Roblox does not allow direct player-to-player Robux transfers, so every rewards platform pays you through the same mechanism developers use to get paid: a gamepass sale.

It sounds complicated. It is not. Here is the whole thing, start to finish, in about five minutes.

Why a Gamepass?

There is no player-to-player transfer of Robux on Roblox. What there is instead is a marketplace where a developer sells something and receives Robux for it. Gamepasses are one of those sellable items.

That means the platform paying you becomes a customer. You create a gamepass, they buy it, and the Robux arrives in your account as a normal developer payout. It goes through Roblox's official systems the entire way, which is why it works and why it is safe.

Step one, own a place

Every gamepass has to live on an experience you own. There is no need to build anything, and you do not need a famous place. All you need is a published experience.

To publish one, go to Roblox, open Create, and start a new experience from the baseplate template. Publish it. Nobody has to play it, it just exists to host your gamepass.

If you already have a published place, use that instead.

Step two, create the gamepass

In the Creator Dashboard, open your experience and find the Passes section. Create a new pass and name it anything you want. The icon does not matter.

Save it, then wait a few moments while Roblox processes the new pass.

Step three, price it

To complete this step, the pass has to be for sale. The price you set is what the platform pays, and it determines how much Robux reaches you.

Be careful of two things. A gamepass has to be on sale in order to be bought, and if sales are off the payout will fail. Roblox also takes its standard marketplace cut on every sale, so the price you set and the amount that arrives are not identical. That is a Roblox fee, not a platform fee, and developers pay it too. There is more on how these fees affect the numbers in how much Robux is actually worth.

Step four, get the pass ID

You need the numeric ID, not the name. Open your gamepass page and check the address bar in your browser. The long number after game-pass is the ID.

If you are on the Creator Dashboard, press the three dots on the pass and open it in a new tab. That gets you to the public page where the URL shows the ID.

Copy only the number.

Step five, withdraw

Paste the ID into the withdraw form, confirm the amount, and submit. The platform buys your pass, and the Robux lands in your account.

How long it takes

Usually a few minutes. Roblox has a pending period on developer earnings, and that applies to everyone selling anything on the platform.

New accounts and unusually large withdrawals may be held briefly while the request is verified. This is a fraud check. It protects the payout pool everyone else is drawing from, and it clears on its own.

When it does not work

A handful of things account for nearly every failed payout.

  • The pass is not for sale. Check that sales are enabled on the pass itself.
  • The ID is wrong. It is easy to copy the experience ID instead of the pass ID. The pass ID comes from a URL containing game-pass.
  • The pass changed mid-request. If the pass was deleted or repriced after you submitted, leave it alone until the payout completes.
  • The pass is on a place you do not own. It has to be yours.

Do it before you need it

The best advice here is to set your gamepass up early, before your balance is even withdrawable. The setup is a one-time cost. Once it exists, every future withdrawal is just pasting a number you already have, and you are never sitting on a balance you cannot move.
